RWA Roll Call!
|
Sorry for yet another week of flaky blogging. That page-counter over there has been frozen for a while, which probably looks like I’ve been slacking off. But no, I’ve just gone back to concentrating on GOTH for a while. I’ve been working like a fiend to get some submissions in. Plus, I had a sick kid.
Okay, enough excuses. I’ll make rounds later today, promise.
In the meantime, I want to put together a master list of everyone who’s going to be at RWA in Dallas. (Can you believe it’s less than a month away? Yikes!) So please tag the comment trail here, or send me an email. I want to make sure I get to meet everyone in person! Those of you who frequent Fanlit Forever, are there any plans afoot for a get-together?
Those of you who are going, what event or workship are you most looking forward to attending?
Oh, and congrats to Lacey, Erica, Darcy, and Jacqueline for starting the fab Manuscript Mavens blog (which I have just now crawled out from under my rock to find)!

CM will be there, and talking about herself in the third person no less!

I will be there… mainly to hear CM talk about herself in the third person.

Here! I mean…there! Hey stop by my blog and help me find Grandmother India a new name. There’s a box of Lucy’s chocolates at stake. Now, Tessa, doesn’t that sound like the kind of chocolate meant for you?

I’m not going to make it this year. Maybe next year.
The FanLitters are making their arrangements in a thread titled “National” in the Goals board. I haven’t been keeping up with it, so I can’t tell you what was determined.

I’m there Eve. I’ve been pretty much MIA lately. I have so much stuff to do. I had to give up on thinking I could finish the first draft of ATR by Nationals. Now I’m looking at the end of July. Oh well, I’m 2/3 done.
I am looking forward to everything at Nationals really. I do plan to get an ARC for Private Arrangements by Shery Thomas. I’m dying to read that novel.

I won’t be making it to National this year. My October vacation plans got moved to late July, and with that plus two software deployments earlier in the month, I can’t even take a day trip to Dallas on Saturday.
But I’m betting y’all are going to have lots of fun! 🙂

I can’t go this year. I’m seriously bummed about it, but I’m so there in San Francisco ’08. Have a wonderful time, and say hi to all the FanLitters for me.
India, I’m running over to your blog to compete for those chocolates.

I won’t be there this year either. But, I’ve already started saving for new year in San Francisco.

I won’t be there either, and I am very sad to miss hanging out with all of you! 🙁 Fortunately there’s a consolation prize – a workshop with Jenny Crusie at my local chapter.

Erica, of course we have to get together!
Oh wait–third person. Third person plural? They have to get together.
CM finds the use of the third person plural to be disturbing.

Me too 🙂 We’ve been trying to figure out a time/place, and schedules are kind of crazy. I think the nearest we’ve come so far is Weds evening, meeting for drinks somewhere in the hotel, pre-soiree for those in Beau Monde, and off to dinner for those not attending said soiree…

I will be there, and I want to meet everyone I can, too.
I’m actually sort of surprised that Avon’s not mentioned anything about putting together something to promote their next contest.
