Two easy ways to do good today

The other day, my friend and fellow author Jennifer Haymore announced on her blog that she’s been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. (You may remember that I hosted a giveaway just a few weeks ago to celebrate the release of her newest book, A Touch of Scandal.) Her prognosis is good and her attitude is fantastic, but I’m sure she’d appreciate all the support, prayers, and well wishes she can get. Thanks for the links and info, Tessa! The community of romance readers/writers/agents/editors can be really amazing and supportive. Sometimes the little kerfuffles online can obscure the more important stuff.

I always try to think of ways to do good. Sometimes they are big, like collecting thousands in donations for my annual cancer Relay for Life, and sometimes they are little ‘pay it forward’ type things like paying for the person in line behind me at Starbucks. It’s usually about $5 and it makes someone smile, and hopefully think about doing something nice for someone else.
