Today, July 27th, my sixth book Three Nights with a Scoundrel, hits the shelves–exactly 364 days after the release of my 2009 debut, Goddess of the Hunt. To say it’s been a whirlwind year would be a vast understatement! I fly out today to cap it with a wonderful week at the Romance Writers of America conference in Orlando, where Surrender of a Siren is a finalist for the RITA award. Unbelievable. I feel blessed and so grateful to all my family, friends, and readers. Thank you!

This week, I’m off to the RT Booklovers Convention in Columbus, Ohio, where I can’t wait to meet up with readers, writers, and booksellers…oh, and accept a lovely award for Goddess of the Hunt (RT Reviewer’s Choice for Best First Historical 2009)! I’m thrilled to announce that Surrender of a Siren is a RITA finalist in the Regency Historical category! The RITAs are given by the Romance Writers of America to celebrate excellence in the romance genre, and the awards will be presented at the national conference this July. I’m so honored.

Whew! I have met all my deadlines (for the moment, ha), and just in time to enjoy the beautiful California spring. (My sympathies to those of you still shoveling snow in the East.) It’s a busy family month for us, with weddings and birthdays and other fun. And I can’t believe it’s just a few months until the May 25th release of One Dance with a Duke!

Ah, February…the month of romance! For me, this is going to be the month of romance and work, work, work, as I finish up the writing, revising, and editing of the 2010 trilogy (starts with One Dance with a Duke on May 25!). So I may be scarce on the internet for a few weeks, but in the meantime I’ve opened a new “New Authors” contest, giving away books from historical debut authors Sara Lindsey and Erica Ridley. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy New Year! 2009 was a fantastic year, thanks to the wonderful family, friends and readers who made my debut trilogy a success. I’m so grateful. It’s hard to imagine topping that excitement…but 2010 is shaping up to be pretty darn cool, too. A new back-to-back trilogy will hit stores this summer, starting with One Dance with a Duke on May 25.
