Okay, so a friend of mine who drops by this blog occasionally saw Chandler’s picture down there and accused me of being “an apostate from the church of Firth.”

No.

No, no.

I think Chandler is funny. I do not yearn for Chandler. I do not ardently admire and love Chandler.

Just to prove the point, let’s have a little Friday Firth-fest, shall we? In black-and-white no less. (I find it lends a bit of class to my rather adolescent obsession.)

Who is your most enduring celebrity crush?

Edit: Sorry, my linked pix kept disappearing … I think I’ve got it fixed now.

I have several crushes. There’s Gerry Butler, Eric Bana, Hugh Jackman, Richard Armitage, and just to mix it up a bit Guy Pierce. I am also a Firth devotee though! I don’t think any woman’s life could possibly be complete without Mr.Darcy.

    Bruce Springsteen.

I just watched his new DVD Live in Dublin for the first time 2 weeks ago and I have had to curb my desire to rush home from work to watch it again. 57 years old. Still incredibly hot. Still in great shape. Still a great husband and family man. Still strong and creative. Still having fun and finding new ways to do it because “it ain’t no sin to be glad you’re alive”.

Now, back to your regular programming while I clean my drool up.

BTW, Firth just bought a Prius. Yes, its sick and obsessive that I know that.

Oh yes, Kelly – Hugh, Gerry, Richard .. all saints in the church of Firth!

Pamela delurked! Bruce is just that ultimate combination of blue-collar sex appeal, artistic soul, and intelligence. Mmmm. As for CF’s Prius…I find good politics and environmental awareness exceptionally sexy – Bruce, Colin, and others.

Is it just me, or is the word “Prius” strangely suggestive?

Y’know, my husband may just develop a man-crush on Colin Firth for buying a Prius. John was the one who wrote that Mr. Darcy story in Round Four of FanLit. 🙂

I am showing my age, but it used to be Paul Newman and Steve McQueen. Paul’s over 80 now and retired, and Steve is really dead, so I must move on—to Ioan Gruffudd, Clive Owen, Rufus Sewell and so as not to discriminate against Americans, George Clooney.

Chiming in to agree with India. Brad Pitt is the thing. It was hard work, while writing my current wip, looking at all of the pics I could find of him to draw inspiration. (sigh)But I am a trooper and managed to get through it.

I have to add Tim McGraw. I love staring at the man’s as…er eyes, I meant eyes. ;0) And his chest, don’t even get me started there.

Oh, and Trace Adkins voice. (Shiver)LOVE his voice.

Hmmm. So many men, so little time. I think my most enduring crush would have to be Roger Howarth. I can hear you all saying WHO?? He is actually a soap star. Started on One Life to Live as Todd Manning and is now on As the World Turns. I saw him on Broadway in Lion in Winter as the French prince who has a homosexual affair with Richard the Lionheart. Needless to say the man can eat an entire case of crackers in my bed anytime! I also love Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Matthew MacFaddyen(sp) from Pride and Prejudice. Can you tell I like ’em young and pretty?

Enduring…enduring…Call me fickle but I can’t think of an ‘enduring’ one. Maybe I need coffee. You understand, T.

A big YES to all of these. Even Bruce. He’s has that rugged thing going on in spades. Throw in the guitar and the fact that man is a born poet and what more could you want?

I love Colin in Valmont. But I like him in anything really. Even What a Girl Wants. Though he did play that jerk in Circle of Friends…

Oh my did you say Tim McGraw’s chest? And that a$$ (I’m not afraid to say it!) is the best in country music. Or maybe anywhere really. Gah! That man can fill out a pair of jeans.

My enduring crush (besides Pearce Brosnan and Paul Newman) would have to be Russell Crowe. I love everything about him. From his passionate nature to his bad boy looks to his cursing and anger issues. I’ll just take it all.

My enduring crush. . . Lou Diamond Phillips, Peter Wingfield from Highlander fame, and Randy Travis (it’s his voice, I tell you!)

(Staring at Colin) Sigh! That’s all. Just a long, yearning s.i.g.h….. Thanks so much for the moment, Tessa.

I’d have to say Harrison Ford, I think, but you make a very good argument for Mr. Firth!
